03 RMK 700 Motor mounts seem OK but?

I've had my head in the engine compartment as fas as it would go. They seem to be OK but even if one is broke, can you really tell? It's smashed so tight in there it's hard to tell. I can move the motor ever so slightly by pushing on it. When started and reved up, it has a little movement. How much is ok, or is any movement bad? Just trying to be prepared for the season.

Grab on to the clutch and try and lift the motor straight up with your hands. If the mount is broke it will separate and the motor will lift up some. From what you describe it sounds like the mounts are fine.

Use a pry bar and try to lift the block. if it lifts u got a broken mount.

how far should it move if its ok using the pry bar method? Which mounts usually break first on 600 and 700 twins?

have 2 broken back motor mounts on my 2003 sks, Can't really see the front mounts but I'm sure one is torn for sure. Even with 2 broken motor mounts there was not a lot of visual movement when I reved the engine.
