03 rev800 vs 04 renegade 800?

looking to pick up a sled tommorow and i found two i've been looking at but i heared there had been problems with the 03's rings and stuff,

riding style is mostly cross country, jumping and drifts but some trail

The 04s worked out the ring issues. Plus, being a renegade you get a 136x1.5" track -- which IMO is a little nicer.
I think it's a no brainer assuming sleds are relatively equal mechanically speaking.
That said, it looks like the Renegade is sold!
