03 polaris 800 rmk 144 bogs in the powder

My friend has a 03 polaris 800 rmk 144 when he gets in deep powder it bogs then you get back to trail and runs great . Slp head , slp single pipe and can , slp air box . Any one have any idles on what could be the problem .

Seal up around the headlight, powder is sucking into the airbox.

Take the shelf off under the hood and shine a flashlight all around the headlight. I bet you will see the light coming through in several places. Run a thick bead of silcone all around the headlight on the inside. If that still does not make it go away he may be jetted way too fat. Last thing is to install the slp intake vents. They are a must for deep over the hood powder days.

"Bogging" is an ambiguous term. If he means trenching, then you can write that off to the polaris series IV track in a 144 inch length. If engine bogging is the problem, it could also be the exhaust port clogging. An 03 may have had enough opportunity to flatten the aluminum snow diverter that mounts in front of the exhaust port. In which case it probably also split the plastic belly pan. Best to keep on top of that bad boy, and make sure it maintains it's intended shape by removing it and rebending so as to align the holes with the belly pan holes.

Seal headlight, flowrights, seal exhaust joints cut muffler bottom so just barely sticking lower than bellypan and make sure deflector is in place, also check jetting.
