03 edge boards....suggestions?

T
I just picked up an 03 vertical escape 800...it's setup pretty well, but I know I need to get an aftermarket set of boards. Anyone have suggestions on the best ones to buy between snow eliminators, better boards, and wps (i think that's the third one)....or another brand. Open to buying some used as well if anyone has some.
Thx ahead of time for the input!

WRP, nicest boards of the type. Vertical support which isn't offered on other brands make the difference in my opinion.

I have the wrp on a edge and am very happy with them. I like the added support that they give to the side of the tunnel .And Paul will get them to you fast.

1st choice would be Van Amburg boards because they widen the entire board not just an insert. However they are more $ and more work to replace. My 2nd Choice would be WRP they really stiffen up the factory board. I was impressed with the quality they even came with a drill bit to install.

My biggest pet peive with the polaris boards was how narrow they were. I went down to the local scrap yard and grabbed a chunk of 1/8 aluminum and made my own. way wider and very easy to install.

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like I might be getting a chassis with better boards already on it, and just part out the one I have. I love the idea of the wider Van Ambergs tho....anybody have a dollar figure on those?

I recently put on a set of snow eliminators. They are so much better than stock and the eliminators are atleast twice as thick as the stock board i cut out. Prolonged use will tell the tale of how good they really are.

Nice, when you made them wider did you just go wider out to the bend and then make the bend sharper? Wondering how hard it was to bend the edge coolers, I would be a little worried about breaking them open.

When i installed the newer boards i ran the outer coolant pipe straight till the factory bend then i used a sling and a come-along to shape it to the outside of the boards. Many abusive miles since and the width is awesome.
