03 700 perc add on

M
I have a 03 700 sks motor that I put into my 04 600rmk. I bought a new cdi and used my 600 wiring harness(all the plugs connected) and secondary, and the perc still is not working. I am thinking the cdi is bad or maybe there is supposed to be a sensor on the flywheel or....

I tried looking at some add on perc kits and all they include is a secondary, cdi, wiring harness, tach, and stock switch for handle bars.

Any ideas on what is wrong here?

Is the cdi programmed for perc?
When I put it in my sled I found a used kit but I had to use the cdi that came with it, not just the cdi from that size motor. Are you sure that when you follow the wires down from the switch that everything is plugged in?

cdi i bought was for an 05 800 rmk and should have perc stock.
and yes i checked the wires
the harness from the 600 w/perc did not have any loose ends when i put it onto the new cdi. and i never unplugged anything from the bar switch down so....?

which harness did you use on the motor, there is a harness that does not have perc and one that does. no sensors needed. you have missed a plug or you don't have the right engine harness

rmkboxer is right i did a complete swap. i bought a kit and had to change harness, cdi box along with the clutch and handle bar switch for the reverse button. you must be missing something. did you get a new handlebar switch? thats about all i can think of.

I am using a cdi harness from my 600 w/ perc so it is a perc harness. a non-perc harness wont plug into a perc cdi and vice versa, the two cdi's have different outlets

i am guessing from the responses so far that it is the cdi that is bad. cdi was aftermarket. i contacted them and they said all stock options should remain,
they said i can send it back and switch it out, but i want to make sure that is the most likely suspect.

the plugs that make it work are by the steering post and airbox, If they are all plugged in then cdi is bad
