02 Summit clutching

My 02 summit 800 seems to not have the "go" that it used to. It's an extra sled I ride when my other sled breaks down, but I would like to get it back to where it used to be. If I were to go through the primary and the secondary and clean them up and put new springs in and stuff in, would it make the sled more snappy again? The engine still runs great, it is just not getting off the line like it used to.

Welcome to the forum! Yes, going thru the clutches would be a great place to start. If you have the original springs in them they are most likely fatigued and not providing the proper spring rates they did when new. this will throw off the shifting characteristics and cause the sled to feel like it is taking off in second gear and have poor backshifting. You should also clean out your carbs as well. Check your compression too, as it might be loosing some compression due to mileage.....
