02 rmk 800 156 to 162 extension

oh yea but I dont think the 3 inch paddles would work because its too big and it could hit the center cooler just under the tunnel (front, behind the motor)
I would go with 2 inch (2.52 pitch) paddles, give me no issue with it.

there should be more feedback from people about 3 inch paddles on edge

You can move your susp back 1" just by drilling out the pilot holes that already exist in the stock brackets, this also makes for a better approach angle. Between that, maybe a 8" rear idler setup you will be close to making the 162 fit without extensions. Might need a tunnel extension to keep from sucking the flap or rubbing.

I guess i am a lil' confused on the pilot holes in the stock brackets you are refering to? I looked at my susp. and couldnt find any pilot holes. Thanks for the info

Yes. Its been a while so I dont remember all the particulars.

-8" wheel kit
-smaller drivers, I think they were 7 tooth
-set back skid.

I did a u.cooler, combo drivers, anti stab, Holz 5/8" drop.
I know there are people on here that have all the details.
Also consider hyperfax and ice scratchers.
This will really help performance, just make sure you weigh the
cost versus an upgrade.
Good luck

Where your front suspention bolts on, in the inside of the tunnle there should be a black plate riveted on, and there should be a small hole behind the one you normally use, just drill that one out to the size of the one you already use, and do the same to the back brackets.

Thanks for all the help guys. I think i got movin' the skid back finally figured out. My thought was to put a big wheel kit on the sled and turn it around to move up and back instead of up and forward along with moving the skid back and having almost 2 inches of adjustment available on my rails already and puttin some anti ratchet drivers on so i can run a loose track. Maybe it will work. I think i'm just gonna do a 162 w/ 2.25 lugs. Any more thoughts are greatly appreciated:becky:
