NEEDS TO SELL PRICE IS DROPPING LIKE THE SNOW!!! $1900
So I got this sled as a back up for myself but now it seems that I need something a little more user friendly for less experianced folks. I haven't had the motor open but it starts and runs fine, it's a suzuki 880 triple, could probably use some freshness up top, has crank shop twins and stingers. I have inspected most everything else on this sled. Just put brand new mini bars with 45' hooks and warmers on it, also a 2" x 156 x 3" pitch cat track with new 7 tooth extrovert drivers.Has v-force 2 reeds with new petals, It had an old school digitron on it that is included, along with an extra primary and secondary clutches, also a couple of boxes of misc. jets, weights, chains, springs, the average sort of stuff that one collects when playin with a mod sled. It has holts type beefy front trialingarms and a coil over set up in the rear also with beefy looking linkage setup. Apears to be 151 rails with extensions. And a mesh hood to cover everything up. I've never even taken it for a ride, I just can't seem to leave the dragon at home. I'll try to get some pics of the motor, She's no show queen but should make someone a hell of a playtoy. I'm open to trades/cash or offers, Looking for something like a twin 700 or 800 low miles with mild bolt ons. Even an 800 rev or? Call me with what you've got. Owen 5417864147

Two eggs a dash of salt and a pinch of the secret sauce

Honestly guys just goin by what I was told. It's supposed to be an 880 watercraft motor. I don't know triples well enough to tell you. It dosen't have the big external water pump belt like the storms? This sled came from Idaho was set up for grass drags when I got it and all of it's boxes of extra peices.

its a Fuji based tripple. Its not an XCR 700/800 base as it doesn't have exhaust valves. More likely is a bigbored Ultra engine, the waterpump would be driven off the crank on the front of the engine. Head covers were originally purple on the Ultra, but powdercoat can fix that. It was normal for the ultra to be bored to 800cc or 900cc by quite a few companies. The later XCR engine did not lend themselves to easy bigbores.

It would be nice to know what pistons are in that Ultra BB and which variant it is. Looks like the transfer ports have been filled externally to allow more aggressive porting.

How far from Boise are you. Could I get you to look down a plug hole and get some numbers off the top of those pistons and post them up?

That's a 99 Gen 2 with 136" Xtra-10 w/ extensions and a Holz coilover.

Thanks Brian

That sled could even be a 1996 Ulta with a gen 2 belly pan on it. that gas tank is no newer then mid 1990s indy too. Maybe its just a 680 not a 880. that sled is a lot of polaris sleds put together. The only thing that makes a gen2 sled a gen2 is the belly pan and hood. Its funny gen 2 sleds are even called gen 2. A 1997 700 RMK has the same builk head as a 2001 800 RMK and the 1997 RMK is the same sled as a 1999 the 99 just has a gen 2 hood and belly pan.

00-01s had inboard tipped trailing arms though.

Yes you are right, but inboard trailing arms dont make a polaris a gen2. 1997 and 1998 XCs 700s and 600s had inboard trailing arms too. but back to the sled thats for sale, a person can take a 1999 belly pan and put it on a 1996 Ultra and then you have a gen 2. you could even put a gen2 belly pan on a 1986 indy and you have a gen2 sled. :)

motor . . . .

OK I'll get some more pics of the motor with out the pipes on it I really don't think it's polaris but I could be wrong it definatly is an 880 or 888 as someone took the time to have 880 sprayed or printed however it would be done into the hood behind the winshield. As for the rest of the sled I'm thinking about parting it out so if anyone see's something they want feel free to shoot some offers. Thanks Owen.:beer;
