02' pipe question

My understanding is that it isn't on an '01 (major design flaw in my opinion... a few pennies and saves trashing the pipe!) but the '03 has a donut... I don't think that my buddies '02 Summit had a donut... that is why he re-welded his Dynoport pipe 3 times! lol

they don't use the graffel donuts. You can cut and weld a piece on to put the donut on. 01s used high temp silicon, there donuts were steel welded to the pipe.

01's and 02's did have a donut between the manifold and the pipe, the donut came out in 03. You will need to find and 03 manifold and pipe or you can have a flange welded on to your 01 pipe.

Oh really, I thought they were just a lead ring like for a collector, maybe I'll just go and look at collector gaskets, see if I can get one close. The high-temp silicone I used didn't hold up, and that was the high-temp with copper. it just drips a little oil, but you can tell that it leaks, and the y-pipe had chips off the end of the ring that is welded to keep the two halves of the y-pipe together. Thanks for the input!
