Just trying to set this sled up and had a ? about the track. Got a new(to me) sled to ride and while going through it for a mountain maintenance noticed that the track was put on reversed. Someone did some pretty good mods to it in it's past, Reeds, carbs, cans, etc. It has a camoplast challenger 156 and it is installed reversed, is this a performace choice i.e. did they not dig such a huge trough or will it maybe climb better or does it look correct installed this way through jack daniels colored goggles? Just wondered if anyone had ever done this on purpose and what purpose might you have had?

I might be a better track for powder back wards but I am pretty sure it will perform better going the right direction.

Pulled the clutches to clean them last night and found the jackshaft bearing frozen up and eating its way to brokedownland. Looks like some more pbr and wrenchin for me.

I would also for sure change the drive shaft bearing on speedo side as well.
Ordered one already, picked up a used shaft from FoMoCo man and I'll be tearing into the beast t-nite
Had one of these tracks,,, it should help hill climb better but at the same time if I remember correctly this will make trench worse in certain snow conditions. Oh ya,,, in the spring it will allow you to get to the bottom of the hill quicker if you know what I mean.

After a time the paddles get pretty layed over, flipping it arround and running it the other way for awhile straightens the paddles back out to original.
Yeah I think I'll turn it back around while I'm replacing the bearings and shaft.
