Just wanted to see if I could get some input from those of you who have run SLP pipes on a 7MM. The motor is stock. First off, I need to change my HG's(right now only 1 layer). Should I go back to stock or 2 layers? I am setting up this machine to their spec sheet which I understand is real close. one question I do have is on the helix choice. They say to use a straight 45 deg. . Just wondering if their is a multi angle that worked good with this set up? Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

One layer would be pretty tight on squish and could cause deto issues on pump gas. Go with a new head gasket set and peel one layer. Use the copper spray gasket stuff too. Torque head 18-20lbs. I had luck with both 46-40 and 48-42 helixes. Good luck.
what altitude? Single layer will be fine if you are over 5000' or so.
Thanks for the replys. I ride between 0-2000 ft. As far as helix's I do have a few to play with 47/41,47/43,51/43 a couple others I can't think of.
had slp pipes on mine work well. used stock helix just used different weights. I hear good things about the shock wave helix mountain performance has kits to set it up for the way you ride.
