buddy of mine has a 600 renegade and it wont go past 4000 RPM unless the choke is on. seems simple but me and a frined of mine have gone over the carbs with a fine tooth comb and we verified timing and crank phase. any suggestions??
Carb boots can cause this as well as some others. I had a simular problem..did you drain float bowls and check tank for water? Pull the drain bolt out of the bottom of the carbs and drain into a glass jar...you should be able to easily see if there is water..if there is you need to check tank as well. Also I recently had a very simular problem and it turned out to be a small flake of some substance got into the T connector on the fuel line between the carbs..check to see if you have a cylinder dropping out and which one it is. Good luck there is a lot more that can cause this symptom.buddy of mine has a 600 renegade and it wont go past 4000 RPM unless the choke is on. seems simple but me and a frined of mine have gone over the carbs with a fine tooth comb and we verified timing and crank phase. any suggestions??
