they are very similar,there is some difference in the cylinders and heads,they must be kept together because th 01 has dowell pins in the top of the cylinder,but i think the complete motors would swap easily,the stators were much better in the 01 if i remember correctly.performance of the two is pretty close ,slight edge to the 01.
