01 800 air box

I've got a SLP high floe air box top for the 01 800 when you put that on are ya suposed to take out the foam and the little plastic shelf it sits on thanks

you dont have to rejet...i did my 700 gutted the box been running for 10 years !!!

Gutted mine and it leaned it out, and they even recommend you rejet from SLP at least 2-3 steps. Increase air flow = Fatter jets IMO. No offense there! Just speakin from my experiance with gutting an air box!
