'00 MM 700 jetting/clutching

I am planning on going to the Bighorn mountains in January. My spare sled is a '00 mountain max 700 141 which I would like my girlfriend to ride. We live in North Dakota and pretty much just trail ride in low elevation areas (under 3000 ft). What do I need to all do to the sled in order to ride it in higher elevation ( 6000 - 8000 ft)? The only mod to the sled is an aftermarket silencer which was already on it when I purchased it. Thanks.

A lot of my riding is from 6,000~8,000 feet. I have Power Inc mid dumps. I should take a look and see. I dont remember what jets or my needle set-up.... I'll have to look!

Call Tom Hartman @ Hartman Inc.. He will get you setup correctly.

I am also in ND. When I had my '99 700 Tom did the clutching and advised on the jetting. I had a bunch of mods done to mine but my buddies sled was close to stock. We didn't have to touch clutching to ride in the mountains. We only did the jetting for elevation and temps. and we were good to go.

130 mains all across

We installed a silver primary in our 2000, not sure about weights and rivets.

If I remember correctly.... its been a while... lol 135 mains, 52.5 pilots, needles middle clip, one washer under one washer over. Clutching, stock 8CR weights, Id go about 3.6 gram inner, and about a 2.4 outer. You want to be spinning about 83-8400. The stock green spring in the secondary with the stock 43 helix is fine, set at 70 ( holes 6 and 1)

That will be close. If it under or over revs, add a gram to the outside rivit, or take away a gram. :)
