Ran a 160-300 primary spring this weekend in spring conditions. The rest of the set-up was the same as before. Pulled a pretty consistent 8400 rpm at 6k-7k. I like this set-up the best so far minus the high engagement. 4300-4400 rpm and on off switch of the clutch at that rpm.

Tried a 145-280 and it has an engagement of 4300 rpm also. Ordered a few 125 springs and hoping to get back to a 4000 rpm engagement.

Maybe I missed it, what is your belt to sheave measurement.
Edit: pic on weight tuck under

It is working well. Pulling 8350-8450 at 6000-7000 ft. I have some different springs coming for it. 145-300 145-280 and a 160-300. Also found some 70 gram lightning weights so will be trying them with the 145 springs. The one thing I need to get better is the bottom end, it is loading a little to hard for my liking. I'm sure some of it is the Silber because it seems to have the weaker bottom end of the three popular kits.

Where did you get these springs? EPI I assume? Which are measured a bit differently than Polaris springs.

Right at .020. I know it is a little tight but I could only find shims in .020 increments.

Correct EPI springs. I've only used Venom, EPI and SLP springs. What I really need is a spring tester to check some of them to see what they actually measure. Also do clutch springs have some break-in time?

You should. I measured several different springs last week, and mostly were spot on, but some new ones were far from what they was supposed to.

We did run Dan's kit. Like I said, the secondary setup is very similar. The weights we got were adjustable from 71-82 grams. We had them at 75. I think they were his first turbo mag design. They are tucked even more than the lightning weights allowing you to run a lighter primary start force and still have high engagement.

Clutch heat was much better than stock. We did have more primary slippage than the Lightnings. But we never made an attempt dial it in.

If you guys get Dan's kit, let us know what helix he sends you. We may want to send you a set of heavy Lightnings for an experiment.

I have allready ordered and recived TRS recommended 46-34 Helix, 140-220 secondary spring, and the 120-320 primary spring. But i havent tried it yet, since i didnt get the lightning weights heavy enough.

I have HeelClicker 2-speed, Polaris 10-series up to 76g, MDS turbo weights and CPC IT weights.

Waiting on a heavier plate for the MDS weights so havent tried those yet.

If Tory can get you set up with spring combo 75.5 heavy enough????

I have a few sets over 75 I am going to let go. One set I have been asked to hold. The other set is up for grabs.

Did you get the 46-32f 46-34f combo?
In my past testing you will not like this setup with MDS or 10 series weights. You will be very displeased. The others I cannot comment on.

How heavy do you have in the lightning weights that you are getting rid of, I am interested, please pm me. Thanks

Rooster turbo and Lightning.

Dans were a little more aggressive in the middle from my rooster. No pic cause dans wts are in. Iv got poo 165-300/150-290/140-220 sec springs, 46-32 /46-34 helix coming. Thanks Spaarky for your help with weights.

Im afraid they will not be. Im at 8400 now with the heelclicker 2-speed at 77grams, 165-310 primary, and 7.5psi. I like this setup, but want more boost, but the heelclickers i have got a too low base weight, and cant fit more washers.

What's your elevation? I wouldn't be trying to find a way to add more weight personally. I'm down to 77grams now and looking to try new ways to get even lower, I ride at sealevel.

First off, i am not running the TRS setup! But might want to! Just wanted to ask what you guys think about this? I get full shiftout and some slippage when tree riding.. am i running out of gearing? or do i need to slow down the upshift with a flatter helix or stiffer secondary spring? Sled holds the rpms pretty well under heavy load so seems wrong to slow it down but...

Rooster turbo weights 65gr base loaded 5,5gr mid, 7gr tip totalt of 77,5.

Slp 170/300 spring

50/44-F helix

160/240 spring

163" chaincase model with 7T drivers and 19/44 gearing.
