Spare Fuel Storage?

Wondering why after searching and looking around there isn't more discussion on RotoPax auxilary fuel setups for the ProClimb?

Here is mine installed and maybe you all know something I don't about these........;)

I went with their new 1.75 gallon and will probably invest in their dual carry kit that allows me to stack them for 3.5 gallons for longer trips.

For now I'm really liking this setup and folks I'm riding with are buying them for their sleds as they are tired of losing their cans..lmao. Oh, and be sure to order the Delux handle.....can tighten it more than their standard setup.

Here is video of my first ride with it this year.....(after getting my sled back from having the motor rebuilt after it grenaded....).

PS: Heads up if you live in Alaska and are headed to Eureka don't bother. Snow conditions SUCKED until they get more to cover that weeks worth of melt they go imho.

thats cool, but I use the mountain addiction 3.3 gallon can. It was spendy, but it doesn't come off, and its clean.

Thats a cool setup, thanks for sharing. Looks like the one we use to carry on our atv's, just a smaller version

I am a dealer in ND for RotoPax, I sold a lot to my customers who go out west riding. RotoPax is an excellent product. The customers give 100% positive on this product and they just love them. Lot of the customers are farmers, so they buy the mounts and use them on their 4 wheelers, the tanks are universal, they work for other things besides snowmobiles.

Does the black vertical thingy come off when u don't need extra fuel?

They make a bag to put on in place For days u need extra storage?

If not I will stick with my MOUNTAIN ADDICTION set up.

There is no quick release for the black mount piece. You would have to take off the entire mount to the tunnel to get to the black mount pieces bolts......so the short answer, no.

Not attempting to hijack but I just installed a powderkeg box with a fuelkeg and love the setup and it definately doesn't come off on accident.

Yeah I have a friend that runs those and is constantly losing a can every other ride. Cool setup though.

How???? I have rolled, jumped, dropped, and ran nasty moguls as hard as my body and sled would let me and mine has never came off. We have them on a few sleds in our group in the 1.3 and 3.3 setups and have never seen one come off. If it is on the rails correctly there is no way it should unless there was a molding defect or user error. It is kinda easy to miss a rail and not notice if you arent careful.

Honestly, when I first saw that setup that was what I was going to buy. However after two rides in a row of what we think was ice building up and wedging one of his cans off.....I decided on the RotoPax due to the fact they are basically bolted down and I can decided how tight or lose in which to secure it to my mount.

Please understand, I'm not bagging on anyone's product and frankly there is nothing out there that is break proof / isn't able to be lost in the right circumstances. As far as I know it could've been user error in mounting them.....I just thought I'd throw another option out there that seems pretty secure.

Only draw back.....1.75 gallons as I have now. I can stack them for 3.5 gallons, or go to large 2 gallon ones as well and stack them for 4gallons. BUT, the 1.75 gallon one stays within the tunnel dimensions enough not to catch on stuff and one is for emergency use and it is fairly non intrusive to the use of the sled.

Overall........my second option was your setup, but thought I would be different ;)

Oh no kidding? I havent had any issues yet, its still pretty tight, but I only use it if I need it... Does your friend have the big one, or two small ones?
