zbroz 36" front end shock compatibility 2013 pro

I know this topic has been discussed alot but I can't quite find definitive answers.

I recently bought this zbroz 36" front end kit for my 2013 pro. http://www.bd-xtreme.com/index.php?id_product=563&controller=product
They state that you can use your stock sway bar connectors which is cool but the picture includes those short metal rods which I don't have. Does anybody know what those are and if they're necessary?

I've also read that grinding the steering spindle is required. Does my sway bar stay unmodified?

I'm going to be replacing my shocks as I currently have one bent one. mine are stock Walker Evans p/n 7043835. As far as shock compatibility with a zbroz 36" kit, is there a certain range of shock size that's required? I'm looking at some used options but they're a little longer than mine ( 17" eye to eye compared to 14") and I'm wondering if they'll work.

I bolted this setup onto a 2005 IQR a few months ago. used stock PRO Walker Evans. No sway bar. Was a bolt on thing, super simple.

Those rods are tie rods for your steering. You'll need shorter ones than what you have stock. Or cut and tap your stock ones....

I didn't grind anything off the spindle but I did read of others than had to do that. Mine cleared the spindles when I cycled the front end with no shocks.

Are you sure your shocks are 14" eye to eye? Mine were off a '13 Pro and they were 17" I'm fairly certain.

Ok thanks for the info. I will double check the length.

I just measured, from bolt to bolt is 14-7/8". Do you have a part number for those shocks? I'm curious because the used 17" shocks i'm looking at are mounted on a 13 pro but the seller isn't sure if they're stock. So are you saying you're using 17" walker evans with a 36" zbroz kit? Everybody I've talked to says to keep the sway bar for handling.

I took them off a sled in my driveway. Definitely a 13 Pro RMK. If you wanna keep the swaybar, might as well keep the wider front end. That's my thoughts on swaybars.
