Gas prices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny you should say that. i was just talking about it. My wife says yes. but i make the money so i say no. Why would i have a $12000 sled that i cant ride cuz of a couple $100 here and there

If regular is $1.49L what is c12 going to be this year. Av gas was $2.05L last week. Its going to be costly for sure. Better sell.... the wife i guess:face-icon-small-win

Doesnt scare me, I just commited to a sled that requires c16:p:D The more people it scares the less tracks on the hills!

yes! everyone quit sledding, save your penny's, more pow for me.

high gas prices sure suck but it will not stop me from aleddign at about 100 bucks a day it does make a for a expensive ride, i just work hard all summer so i can sled in winter.

I've got way too much money invested in my sleds to not ride them.I'll just have to suck it up and pay the price. How much is your enjoyment worth????
An expensive day on the hill beats a boring day on the couch! At least I'm addicted to sledding and not anything worse(OK I like a couple:beer;:beer; now and then)
Bring on the winter and let it snow:D

I'm thinking about buying a Hummer H2, it would look nice parked next to my V10 Dodge in the driveway ! lol. gas prices stop me from sledding ? Pffft....

naa this upcomeing year iam buliding a new to me sled and iam goin to drive 1000+ miles to get to snow gas ohh well

Great another sport only for the rich. Fuel prices and our failing economy are sure to impact our sport. Personally, I'm limiting my summer activities trying to prepare for the season I like more..WINTER :D I doubt any of us are willing to give up the sport, but we will sacrifice other areas of our life to continue riding. Thus, still impacting the economy. Of course, I'm referring to us average people.
Quite obviously, if you have the money for a full mod sled, you probably also drive a huge diesel truck and a fancey inclosed trailer. Probably won't effect you in the least. Yeah, I'm jealous.
Alot of MN riders on this forum who have at least a 600 mile trip one way just to ride anywhere west. Figure your tow vehicle gets a whopping 12mpg or so. You will be paying around $200 one way. A weekend trip is going to quickly add up to $500 just in fuel. Then figure in the price of food, :beer; , and lodging. It's going to be an expensive winter.

scared off my parents (so he buys a harley instead...) dad doesn't believe that i'll go out by myself and with some buddies from school.....

It won't stop me any. Gas just dropped $0.10 here yesterday, so it's now at $1.40/L. It doesn't matter if the price goes up or down, I'll still be riding, though it would be nice if the price went down.

Gas Prices

I will be glad when sled season starts I have been writing a check every week for 11,000 to 12,000 a week for a fuel..Can't wait for them 500 to 700 dollar sled trips..Maybe it will keep the average Joe of the Hill and More Powder for the ones the Who love it...Also Looking for a couple of Buddy's that want to go to Revelstoke this winter for a WEEK long trip, Have Enclosed Five place trailer and Nice Dually to trip in, I'll Pay for the FUEL...LOL
I travel all over Lookin for New Friends To ride With, I travel from Idaho AND go all over all winter...

Quote: hey put a turbo on it and sit at bottom of the hill like most of the turbo riders i see

I stole this quote from another thread. I could'nt resist.

Build a custom turbo and you won't have to worry about the price of gas. hahaha...

Nah, I just sold the dirtbike. I didn't ride it anyways. I am already stockpiling cash on the side for gas money this upcoming season. Am I gonna be traveling to Revy? Nope. I will ride locally and enjoy myself as much as I possibly can. I'll just ride with some new peeps that I met on SW and have a good time. Xmas present for the wife, nah! I don't need on either. I just wanna ride my sled, that'll make me happy enough.

No way I plan to ride atleast double as much as last year, already got a trip to Revy planned. Not rich at all, heck i'm going back to school in sept, i'm just working my a$$ off so I can ride when the snow flies :D
