Hello,

My name is Edward K.
I ride in Priiskovy(Russia), the place where Christ Burandt shot video for his russian episode.
I have decided to share some of my videos and photos that may be interesting for you. My mother lives in USA, Texas, so maybe one day I will ride with you in US.

Btw, if anyone thinks that my photos are good enough, I could share it for commercial use for free. Or I can shoot some scenes in upcoming season on your wish.

Interesting, I have a couple different Nikon SLR body cameras. The wife has been bugging she wants to try a Cannon next. Better not let her see your pics!!

The place is Priiskovy - it's a very small village in the mountains, people used to mine gold here in the times of USSR. It's 6 hours driving from my home. But it's the best place to ride in Russia. We have powder days at least every two weeks, the snow layer builds up to 4 meters by the end of the winter. The season starts at the end of October, ends late at March.

No rocks, no trees under the snow. Plenty of slopes and the forest is not dense, so it's very fun for all kind of riders.

Actually we have a lot of good places with mountains and snow, but only 6 across the whole country, that has hotels and normal road access.

Talking about riders. People come to our place form the whole country. I think it's about 100 sleds every weekend.
The main problem now is the prices. I bought my first sled in 2011, it cost me 408 000 Rubles($11 333) for a new Polaris RMK 800 155" 2012.
Now the new Polaris Pro Axys costs 1 258 000 Rubles($18 776). Taking in mind, the average person income is about 30 000 Rubles($440) a month, you can tell that in Russia, snowmobiling is a rich people's sport.

Rich man's sport indeed. Thanks for the insight.........your videos and pictures are great!! It looks like an amazing place to ride. It is cool to know that even with the cost being so great there are people with the drive to find a way and make it happen to go ridding. Thanks again for posting......very cool.
