Brake
There is a new Hayes brake with a shorter brake lever, which should be easier to use because it’s a slightly shorter reach from the left handlebar.
Yamaha Mountain Ski
The Sidewinder mountain LE model gets new skis for 2019. The new blue deep keel mountain ski is lightweight but has a wide footprint to help with flotation and nose lift. There are also traction lugs on the top of the ski for better footing (when needed).
Fox Float Shocks
Yamaha has gone with top-of-the-line shocks to help with the ride quality of the Sidewinder. The Fox Float QS3 shocks are found on the front as well as in the center position. In the rear position is the Fox Float QS3 with climb lockout. Climb lockout helps keep the nose of the sled down when climbing those steep western mountains.
