1+1 seat
We might get razzed about this, but we think a sub $1,000 “seat system,” like the LinQ 1+1 Seat, is a whole less than buying another sled. So if you need, as Paul Weller explained earlier in this article, a spot for another rider for just a little while—like getting to the cabin or taking your snowboarding buddy to the top of a hill—then the 1+1 seat is a great option.
And with Ski-Doo’s spiffy LinQ system, changing from one rider to two and then back again is quick and easy. And it’s tool-less.
Remote Limiter Strap Adjuster
Weller admits he was a little skeptical about this product—until he tried it. The remote system, which is available for select Ski-Doo Rev Gen4 models, lets the rider adjust the limiter strap from a dial on the handlebars. So when the snow conditions change, from say a packed trail to powder, the rider doesn’t have to stop the sled, tip it on its side and manually adjust the limiter strap. Twist the dial—which has an adjustment range of two holes (about 1.3 inches)—and change to the setting that works best for the conditions. There are two settings to choose from: holes 3 to 5 or 2 to 4 on a conventional limiter strap.
SCS Wraps
Nothing screams individuality like a wrap. Weller’s top seller is the SCS brand, which offers an amazing number of different wraps for most makes and models of snowmobiles. A wrap lets riders customize their snowmobile from fairly tame to off the charts.
