7. Arctic Cat Mountain Cat M8000 162
The dual-rail Mountain Cat has a soft spot with me. I was one of those guys who wore whatever ugly hat Arctic Cat made in the 90s, just because it was an Arctic Cat hat. They were my team Captain America against the team Iron Man of Polaris in the 90s. I raced snocross on a ZR. I raced RMSHA on a Powder Special. Then things changed. And the Mountain Cat two years ago was the first sled in a while that felt like Captain America had been brought out of the cryogenic chamber to restore balance in northern Minnesota. And it’s only gotten better since.
8. Ski-Doo 850 Summit SP 154
Same 850 power as mentioned before, same Gen4 chassis also. Just a shorter, more playful machine for days where you’re searching gullies and creek beds for untouched snow and natural lifters.
