Why didn’t Polaris change the chassis for 2019? Or at least the look/plastics?
From our years of experience following the snowmobile industry, we’ve learned how expensive it is to even change something we would think is minor on a sled. It can cost thousands, sometimes hundreds of thousands, of dollars to retool a component so when you build a new engine from the ground up, that is a significant investment for a snowmobile manufacturer.
So with most of the focus on the Pro RMK line for 2019 being on the 850 Patriot engine, it’s understandable Polaris didn’t make a lot of changes to other parts of the snowmobile, including the plastics.
Now, having said that, Polaris did indeed make some changes to the chassis. See the above answer for those details.
