Exclusive first look, test ride

How It Works

The electronic modal damping control via Bosch SCU (Suspension Control Unit) allows the full range of adjustments in less than a second. There are four rider-controlled modes. The modes can be selected on-the-fly via a handlebar-mounted weather-resistant switch. The LED backlit buttons indicate the active suspension mode.

Although there are only three buttons to push, a long press on the third button will get you to the “lockout” mode designed for steep terrain.

Here’s how the modes are programmed:

Mode 1 has soft ski pressure with a soft center rear shock and a soft rear shock (maximum trail comfort with easy sidehilling and descent).

Mode 2 has medium ski pressure and medium center and rear shocks (balanced all around settings).

Mode 3 has firm ski pressure, firm center shock and medium rear shock (aggressive trail riding, increased load carrying capacity).

Mode 4 has soft ski pressure, medium center shock and a locked rear shock (easy sidehilling, predictable climbing since the locked rear shock limits weight transfer and trenching).
