Test Ride
The trouble with many suspension adjustments is that you have to stop and scrape the snow and ice off your shocks before you can make the adjustment. And often the adjustment requires you to grab a frozen block of aluminum and twist it one way or another … never knowing for certain if you are in the desired position.
Even with the clickers and knobs, sometimes you find yourself guessing if you moved it three spots to the left or five … and deep down inside you are wondering to yourself if one or two spots even matter.
We found with the iQS, all we needed to do was push a button—something we could do while moving down the trail—and we could instantly feel a change in the handling characteristics of the suspension. This immediate feedback allowed us to go back and forth in the settings to gain a full appreciation of the suspension adjustments.
What made this so interesting was we were able to not only compare how the system worked on both the Ski-Doo and the Polaris (since both have different handling characteristics), but we also had comparable stock Ski-Doo and Polaris sleds to hop on to see how the system improved when comparing apples to apples.
