8) Reliability. BoonDocker designed the Sidekick turbo package to offer stock-like dependability. You bolt it on and keep your clutches clean and it will perform consistently throughout the life of your sled. The overwhelming majority of service calls to BoonDocker support ends up being traditional maintenance items, such as worn belts, bushings, springs or exhaust gaskets. Consumers tend to think the problem is turbo-related because the power and performance of a turbo will magnify these maintenance-related problems of the sled. For example, a worn exhaust gasket would more-or-less be unnoticeable on a stock sled, but would cause a boost leak, and a very noticeable drivability concern on a turbo. BoonDocker is developing a solid dealer network that understands the turbo and can work with their customers when it comes to diagnosing the problems that generally originate in OEM parts.
9) Expanding Markets. BoonDocker recognizes that the side-by-side market is really expanding and is creating some opportunities. At first it was more of a turbo-upgrade or tuning market … but now is moving into turbo replacements with bolt-ons that generate 40 hp more than stock turbos … while delivering the reliability of stock. Also, in the past BoonDocker dabbled in the snowbike industry for a few years but found it difficult to keep up with all the various motorcycle models and designs. However, now BoonDocker is starting to take another look at the snowbike market as it continues to improve and mature.
10) Future.
