Ascender Platform

Along with the increase in performance, the 2018 M 8000 Sno Pro also features the new Ascender platform. It’s lighter. It’s narrower. And it’s designed to work in deep snow.

The Ascender platform is 10 percent narrower than the ProClimb chassis. This improves sidehilling and floating through deep powder. With this re-design, the side panels are now one piece and easier to take off and put back on. It’s just a better fit and finish for the M series.

The running boards are one inch narrower and the belly pan is also reworked to allow the rider’s feet to move two inches further forward for a better center of gravity. Cat also dropped the drive shaft by 1.125 inches for a flatter approach angle. This also helps the Sno Pro to get up on the snow easier.
