Yamaha Reactive Suspension System

Additional benefits include improved bump isolation in steering, resulting in less darting as well as improved tracking through rough terrain. By keeping the front end of the sled flatter, there is reduced ski lift in corners. As it was pointed out to us, the sled can still experience ski lift while cornering but you have to go faster to make it happen.

Another fairly significant benefit of YRSS is that in high G corners, the system actually lowers the CG while sharing the forces with the inside shock.

As was pointed out earlier in this article, YRSS is only available on the 50th anniversary Apex LE and Apex X-TX LE. And you might remember that all 50th anniversary sleds are spring-only models.

“It’s not something we’re rolling out across the board,” Jon Blaicher, Yamaha snowmobile product manager, said.
