As with any project sled, we couldn’t leave any piece of real estate un touched. The chain case is old technology. It’s heavy, and requires a lot of maintenance. Mountain Vally Machine had a fix for this. Their belt drive sheds weight, looks trick, and is more efficient. Rotating mass is a huge deal, more so than static mass. By reducing the inertia with this belt drive the sled felt much more snappy, rolled easier, and let that SLP Stage 3 motor put the power to the ground much more efficiently. The kit comes with everything needed for a smooth install, it even has a oil bottle with low oil sensor! To beef up the rear of the sled and add some additional bling, Ice Age Performance sent out a custom etched set of bomber rails and 8” big wheel kit. With Rob Steinmann being the builder and test rider for this sled, we were more than ecstatic to have the bomber rails as some added insurance. This guy is an absolute animal on sleds and is guaranteed to find the weak link in a sled.
