For the past year Klim has been developing its new F3 Helmet for snowmobilers … and SnoWest had the chance to be test one of the early versions out this past winter. And what we found is that the F3 is going to be a great product for snowmobilers this winter.
Klim’s goal was to create a helmet that could do four things: minimize neck fatigue, maximize impact performance, elevate comfort and maintain a lightweight, sleek design. We believe Klim achieved all these goals. Basically, the F3 is an affordable, vented, lightweight helmet that just works. It features a wide unobstructed field of view to accommodate almost any type of goggle.
Designed with a structure mapped composite construction the F3 Helmet features a new comfort liner system with intelligent ventilation (there are 13 intake vents and six exhaust ports to provide optimal heat dispersion). Although it is 10 percent smaller in external dimensions with a lower profile, it is built to better fit your head and eliminate those pesky pressure points. It just fits better.
Klim engineered the internal liner systems to integrate the F3 and rider as one. It offers custom EPS, 3D Ergonomic Cheek Pads, and Klimatek Fabric custom-fit liner systems utilize adaptive smart foam technology and anti-microbial/bacterial fast-wicking textiles. In other words, Klim didn’t cut any corners. Like always, only the top-of-the-line technology is used.
The F3 helmet retails for $299. It comes in five colors and sizes from S to 3XL. For more information contact www.klim.com.
