| Anaconda, Mt. is the starting point for the Pintler scenic route, located 14 miles east of Georgetown Lake and is central to many riding areas in Southwest Montana with affordable accomodations. For accomodations located on the trail system, Seven Gables, Brown Derby and Georgetown Lake Lodge offer affordable accomodations with full service restaurants and bars.
The local Anaconda snowmobile club grooms an elaborate trail system in the Georgetown Lake area. From Anaconda to the east and south, the riding areas include the greater portion of the DeerLodgeBeaverhead National Forest along with areas managed by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. There is riding available for every preference. |
