I am considering different helix's for my 06 M7. I am not to fuzzy about the standard 36 that every one enjoys.

Who has tried other angles that seemed to work from 3-6k?

Any one have a multi set-up.:beer;:beer;

I'm not bashing rkt at all. I ride at 6 to 10000 ft. 2ft of new snow today on a m1000,slp y and single,vforce,vents,boss,diomaond s, riser, bd box and 80 shot nos. the 36 rkt made a diff but personally i think the 36/34 would be tts.

You are right, personally i think the 36/34 would be an awsome set up for you. I loved the 36/34 when i had it on my old sled, I am looking at buying another for my HCR.:beer;

I use a 38-34 with RKT porting/Head M8 powerclaw 62. The 34 allows you to load the clutch. I ride at 10k elev and spin 8100+ RPM with 75# weights climbing in 3' of powder. I hold my flipper wide open like this 2 minutes at a time.

OK on that note. Who has a 38/34, or a 36/34 helix for sale?

My kit is the 09 style. Not that it matters on the helix. It's on an M7 so I don't require the reverse..

Let me know I need it..:beer;:beer;

out of curiosity what setting has everyone been running theirs in? iv been running 2nd +3rd from the left so far seems pretty good but curious what others have found?

Softest for me. I'm going to go down to the red/white and see if I like that better than the SP green next.:beer;

RK tech

I run a 38 helix and love it, everyone thinks I am nuts including Kelsy at RK tech, he said I would hate it.
I have a 06 m7, 800BB kit, ported, speed werx pipe, stock can, boondocker nitrous kit.
I seem to loose nothing with the 38 on motor and gained 5mph track speed on the nitrous over the 36 helix.
I have 65grm cat weights, 160-310 primary spring, cutler Redwhite rear spring, 10.4 rear clutch. 2.66 gearing, 2.5x162 extreme
I run 38-44mph track speeds and 51-58 on nitrous.
everyone who see's the sled climb is impressed. runs right with a 880 skidoo without n2O

Spook, Did you ever find the SP green spring for your set-up? I'm running the 38/34P helix in mine, It works great, finally got it to top out at 8100 rpm

Ballz,

Hey man what's up?

I did get the spring and it help ton's. Now I just want to dial it in better. From the last time you were here to now it's almost night and day.

Are you all going to make it for the climb? If the trophy class pulls through it would be a good place to start.:beer;:beer;

Is there an easy way to see what angle helix is in the RK set up with minimal effort? i just bought a used M8 and am looking at a SLP exhaust system and don't want to dick with a new helix.
