Voltage regulator?????

My assault has a two year motor warranty but thats it with all these regulators going bad do you think it would be worth $112 to reaplace my self next season. I think maybe they had a bad run, it would be cheaper than doing the voltage reg and the ecu if it does go out after warranty goes out???

It's hard to tell if it was a bad batch or a bad design at this point. IMO, it is a bad design unless it is PROVEN that it was a bad batch. I'd be buying an entire warranty if you plan on keeping it. A new top end is over a grand in parts alone.
