Tuff Job? Water/Oil pump Belt eon 02 Edge?

Very easy job, and a must do periodically. If it breaks, you can cook the motor. I'd recommend getting a kevlar belt. Search polaris threads and you will find it.

Belt change

I did mine on the mountain. 10mm and 8mm sockets are about all you need. Take the oil pump off (2 8mm bolts) and then the pull starter. Slip off the old belt and on the new one. Reassemble. My brother still has some Kevlar belts left and they are lots less than the OEM belt. Search for Sled Guy.

Easy

This is a easy one. Pull the pipe to get access. Pull the oil pump 8mm pull the bolts for the starter rope cover 10mm change the belt and reassemble.

i have had friends blow moters from these breaking. Also when they break they fling cords into your stater which directly under the belt this can also cause expensive problems.
