So notice a cracked in spider so go to replace. Literally starts ripping g the spider in half.

I tried to repair cracks with puddy kb weld, then tried water trick, filled with water, plugged off primary and....it just split the cracks again once water froze.

So them I drilled holes in the outter, through to the inner amd bolted the 2 sheaves togther. This time, it just broke the otter sheave and I ended up just pull it apart.

At least now I can see the crank end and should be able to cut it off.

Anyone else experience anything like this?

No. That is a total failure. Also, do not ever run any clutch that has any sort of fracture in it. And, please know jb weld would never hold. That clutch would have blown up in your face. Be happy with the outcome because it is better than a trip to the emergency room if it were to hit you. Best of luck fixing it.
