you mean the excel spreadsheet that was posted in the racing section of the old forum to figure out max mph at a certain RPM? Or the actual charts from the shop manual?

I have the charts from the 05 manual, but they are huge (two legal size pages) and don't think I could get them posted up on here in an easily viewable format. Let me know if thats what you're looking for and I can try though.

Yeah, I was looking for the manual that recommends gear combo's in the chaincase. However, I believe the 06,07,08 chaincase is different than the 05. I have an 07. What I really need to know is will a 43t bottom fit in the new case. Thanks.

With the 8.373 Center to Center distance chaincase of the 2008/2007/2006... Polaris has combos for up to 46tooth bottom gears. (19-46 combo... 78 pitch chain). [from the 2007 Factory service manual]

The 2005 IQ-RMK's ran a Long 11.35" case

So I would imagine that you would not have a problem with a 43 bottom gear if the 43 is ok..

Now they dont list ANY 43 tooth combos that are recommended... all combos of top gears with the 43 are "NR" Not Recommended. I think that this has to do with the chain length being too tight or too dog legged.

What Ratio are you shooting for? (What combo of top and bottom gear do you want to run?)

HOWEVER....

This is the list that I got from Team Industries, Supplier of the gears to Polaris

(CDx2)/.375 + (TS+BS)/2= pitch

CD=center distance (for you 8.373" on the 2008/2007/2006 RMK)
TS=top sprocket
BS=bottom sprocket

20/39 74 pitch

20/40 74

20/41 74

20/42 74 or 76

20/43 76

20/45 78

19/39 72

19/40 74

19/41 74

19/42 74

19/43 74

19/46 78

18/40 72

20/39 – 1.95:1

20/40 – 2.00:1

20/41 – 2.05:1 (Lukes 935 & Carls Recommended for the 975)

20/42 – 2.1:1

20/43 – 2.15

19/39 – 2.05:1 (HIghMark-Rec recommended for the 935)

19/40 – 2.105:1

19/41 – 2.16:1

19/42 – 2.21:1

19:/43 – 2.26:1

18/40 – 2.22:1

I want to run 19/43 w/ 76p chain. I was speaking mainly of diameter when I asked if it would "fit". The chain pitch should not be an issue, if you look at the team data 20/43 uses 76p, while everything from 19/40 thru 19/43 is 74p? Seems like 76p would work on 19/43.

found this, but it may be only for the older case

The AkRacing chart is for the short IQ-R and older Edge/previous chassis.

The old/IQR chaincase is 7.92... The 2006 and up RMK's are 8.373" center to center distance.

Here are the Polaris Gearing Charts to help you decide what gear to run in your sled. These charts are only for those sleds with the 7.92 chain case like the IQ's, ProX's, RMK's, etc

Will my stock chain work???

06 900 166 and want to run 19/43. If I'm reading this right my stock chain will be to tight and might bind and is N/R.
What pitch chain should I use?

Will a 76p chain work?

Will a 76p chain work for gearing down my 06 900 166 to 19/43? This chart must be old because my sled came factory with 20/41 76p chain and the chart says it should be a 74p. My dealer said it will work but I don't trust some of these guy's behind the counter. Alot of new faces.

I just moved to CO from NY and put a 136" track on my stock 121" 2003 EDGE X 600. I was hoping for some advice on what spring to run in the clutch and what gearing i should use. it has manual reverse, should i eliminate the reverse? Also what should i jet it at?
-Thanks

This is a very useful post. However I'm having some problems selecting gearing for my 02' Edge. I just put on the avid extended chaincase w 8 tooth 3" pitch extro's and installed a 09' Dragon skid with a 156 x 2.5 Camo X track. Looks like the edge came stock with a 21/41 combo. I've heard a 19/45 w a 82 pitch is a good combo?? Anyone have any experience with this combo? What are my best options? Is this to low seems kind of low. Don't really know where to start all i know is the 21/41 aint going to work any more. Perhaps the 19/43 is best?
