Oil return / linkage question please

Everyone, would appreciate your advice, sled is an 01 800 GEN II RMK.

I always take a quick peek under the hood before I ride..making sure the throttle cables to the carbs and Oiler are working, aligned, and have full range of motion....among other standard things.

What I noticed after the last ride, is that the arm that gets pulled by the cable on the Oiler isnt returning down after you let off the throttle. It stays "pulled" up. You can push it back down by hand easily, so doesnt seem like anything is really binding or locked up.

I see a spring there on the shaft between the linkage and Oiler...is that what is probably worn out / broke? Or is something else in charge of that return down function?

Thanks in advance, im sure its fairly easy to figure out but you guys have saved me countless headaches in the past by offering real world experience and tricks/tips.:humble:

Thanks! - RMK
