Hi Guys, I'm a new member. love sleddng it but can't justify the costs for a good sled. I recently blew up my 488 Fuji twin 2 stroke and am making it a challenge to rebuild it. Got it torn down and almost all the parts to rebuild, any advise?

Both versions of the 488 engine (liquid cooled, efi and carbed, and fan cooled) are icons in the Polaris world and there are lots of them out there. A quick look at "babbittsonline" (an online parts dealer) show engine diagrams and part numbers. You should be able to get what you need engine wise. Also check salvage shops, you may find a complete engine. Be aware that the 488 engines from the Wide Track sleds had a slightly detuned version of each. Good hunting. 550iq

I'm long tracking my '94 340 for the kids, plus I have a '93 440 SKS (liquid 133 x 1.5). Both fill a need for sizes and capabilities, but for our riding styles and snow depths, I need something bigger and more capable.

Nothing wrong with the older ones though.

I rode a '93 XLT with a 151 2" until last season (replaced it with an M7).

I resto-modded my bride's '91 500 last season. I installed a '99 700 with '05 800 flat slide Mikunis, 2000 RMK skid, 144x2x16 track, and moved the steering post forward 2". It works really good. That wide Doo track is awesome.
