take it out and clean it with brakekleen, inlet side, and a outlet side, ive done it 2 or 3 times over a few years till i realized had tiny rust particles in my gas, been running for 4 years since i last cleaned it still runs strong

I would assume the problem has been rectified as the thread has had it's 2 year anniversary a week ago.
