Need advice. Installing a SLP can

Hi.

Have ordered a SLP can for my 06 RMK 700.

Do i need a ECU flash when installing this can? What are the benefits of "installing SLP's software" ?

What does the software change? What are the differences?

You do not need a reflash if you are just replacing your stock can with the SLP can.

You do not need an SLP reflash unless you go with their single pipe.

Okey.

The reason im asking is because my dealer told me it should be done, and that it had a good effect even with running stock pipe and slp can.

He would do the slp reflash for free. Would it be bad in any way to do the reflash?

Probably cleans it up alot, but is not needed.

Problem with the reflash is that if you have a warranty left on the sled .... and the dealer does the reflash.... they must enter in the VIN # of the sled in Digital Wrench.... voids the warranty.

Now more than ever, Polaris is looking for reasons to deny warranty claims.

You could try it, but I doubt that it will do anything... if it did, the performace houses like Tri City Perf, Carls etc would have done it years ago.

If your sled runs good right now, don't do the reflash.
