Dumb question, so I apologize in advance. Just wondering how you do that since they look like they're threaded on both sides.

I have a stud removel tool that I bought from cornwell tools. It is a 4 piece set from 6mm up to 12mm, works awesome and doesn't hurt the treads. I think I paid $50 for the kit. I just heat the area up with a heat gun and then just spin them out. The double nut method works too but, not all of the time.

if the double nut method fails on the exhaust studs it would be a first in my books..only if the stud breaks and she would create a heck of a problem for a stud remover as well then
