I did this exact swap on my 05 900 and was very happy with the grippers. Bought a set of take offs here on Snowest.

Grippers work really well in my experiance. They will warp a little so keep an eye on them. Check ebay, there are usually a ton of them on there. Here is a link for some that are brand new for $230. Not bad.

Funny that the eBay sale says:
MSRP is $260 for this set
and they want 229.99 + 27.99 ship for total of 257.98, save $2 and screw your local dealer out of the business... if it is really $260 MSRP I will buy from dealer.

I went to Babbits Online (always cheaper than a dealer) and to build one ski was over $230.00. For one, so two are going to be close to $500 with shipping. I do agree with supporting a dealer though.

SLP flyer I got in the mail a couple days ago is advertising near-new take-off Grippers, WITH carbides, for $159.95 per pair.

Those of you considering these won't find a nice pair much cheaper than that...probably won't last long.

I put a pair on my Switchback when it was new. I like 'em.

I think I paid $200-$230 at the dealer all the way up here no shipping when I put them on my switchback, HUGE improvement.

Ok thanks any one want a brand new set from a 2010 for 250.00 shipped?
If they are brand new and include carbides and toes that is a decent price. New retail is $153 a ski plus $29 for loops, on the web site I looked at.

I was just using his own figure off his ebay sale; if he was right (which apparently he is not), his own sale states you are only saving $2, so he isn't marketing it too well.

If you look in the accessories catalog on babbitts website I think you can get a brand new set for close to $200 and $50 for the carbides. I don't know why the parts lookup is so much more expensive.
