Gearing?

I have a 03 polaris 800 edge and am extending from 144 to 159 inch track, and i hav 21:41 gears in it right now, and am going to put 19:43 in it and was wondering if i will have to put a longer chain on or shorter chain on.

Should be the same chain pitch if your going up 2 teeth, and down 2 on the other. I went from 19/43 to 20/45 and had to increase from 72 to 74 pitch.

Gearing

I am running an 03 VE w/ 159" track.. 19:41 gears and seems to be good. Seems to be alot of guys running this gearing with these setups.. Everyone has different opinions on gearing but 19:43 is pretty low and you won't get the track speed .. also be carful with the 43 I heard it will barely fit... not much clearance... just a thought...
