F/M Speedometer On A 1M Chassis?

I'd like to know more about this also, if anyone's tried it. My dad and I were thinking you could use most of the stuff from a carb '03 F7. They still had a chaincase, but with the electronic speedo pickup. We may get around to playing with it this summer, if so, I'll let you know.
Come on guys, someone has to have tried to do this?
