If you still need to be impressed, how about the BLACK WIDOW COMBATT TEAM doing all the aerial tricks you can imagine. It’s called FREE STYLE. Be ready to look up, up and UP.

Or, how about back to the future. See the amazing 4-12 year old racers race their 120cc powered sleds at mach speeds.

BRING YOUR HEART PILLS AND OXYGEN TANKS – YOU MIGHT NEED THEM

Gates open at 10AM each day with racing from 11AM to 3PM.

Take note of these changes if you are new to AXM Hill-X:

Only $15 dollar entry fee for Beginner 600 & 800 (race or trail sleds allowed), Trail 600 & 800 and Womens Trail 600 (trail sleds only), Throwback 1 (any sled bult before 1997), Throwback 2 (sleds built 1997-2002), 80's Retro, and Vintage Leaf Spring. Studs are allowed in all of these classes. You can also bump up to a higher class, which many do to get more time on the track. These all will run to completion on Saturday and there is a flat $10 insurance fee that covers any and all classes run. There is also a FREE two race trial membership if you have not raced hill-x in the last 3 years, and only $50 yearly/$20 weekend if you have raced in the past or want to race more than two weekends.

This means you can try Hill-X out for as little as $25 for one class! There are similar deals if you just want to try the drags as well...

Tell em you saw it on SnoWest when you sign up...

There has been a schedule change- due to the unusually warm weather we will not be be able to run at Mont du Lac this coming weekend, but will be returning to Trollhaugen for another show. This past weekend there was awesome- the race track was great and the Black Widow Combatt Team rocked the ramp. The facility is great for spectators since you can sit high and dry on up the hill where the pits are and see the whole hill-x and drag tracks from there. The Dalles House just a few miles from the hill is the host hotel and they have a nice restaurant and bar right next door for food and fun after the races.

The break-in occurred in Elk River, MN sometime just before the start of the season. Please use the "contact us" tab on the pro-ice website if you have any info...

Dear racers and race fans – We regret to inform you that we will be unable to hold a race the weekend of March 27-28-2010. We have exhausted all possibilities and the conclusion is that we are better off to conclude our season at Giants Ridge and Spirit Mt.

We spoke with both Giants Ridge and Spirit Mt, who would have let us race there this weekend, but doing so, would have jeopardized us being able to race there on the scheduled weekends. With snow melting fast, it is better to leave it undisturbed until you need it. Both Giants Ridge and Spirit Mt are completely confident we will be racing there on April 2-3 and April 10-11. See you at Giants Ridge.

Giants Ridge is ON! This is a double header with complete shows on FRIDAY and SATURDAY. All racers please pre-register at pro-ice.com- there's a lot of racing to cram in each day and getting everyone signed up ahead of time helps things go much smoother. If you're planning on staying overnight, make sure you call The Lodge at Giants Ridge and mention you're with WSA Racing to receive up to 50% off your room rates... 218-865-7170

And now for the big announcement...

Its official- AXM & ESPN 2 get together. AXM will be airing 10 shows on ESPN 2- these are FULL 30 minute shows, covering the ENTIRE Twisted Chaos Series- AXM Hill Cross, AXM Hill Drags, AXM Kids Cross, and the Black Widow Combatt Team Freestyle. With the great action you athletes have provided, it has not gone unnoticed and ESPN 2 WANTS IT and their want is granted. Airtime and dates will be released soon- we do know it will be airing on Saturdays. Thank you again Athletes!

The races at Spirit Mountain in Duluth this coming weekend are ON, however it has been changed to a SATURDAY ONLY event. Come on out and cap off the snowmobile racing season at the same venue that gets it started every November. The Red Roof Inn in Proctor has special room rates for the weekend- tell them you are there for the AXM/WSA Hilcross Races. As always, check the WSA fan page on Facebook for the latest updates- http://www.facebook.com/pages/WSA-Racing/306352510751 and visit the WSA website for race registration and other info- http://www.pro-ice.com/.

For those of you that may not have heard, there was an unfortunate accident last Friday at Giants Ridge and one of the girls that does the scoring at the finish line, Natalie Lindberg, received some pretty severe head trauma as a result. She was airlifted to St Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, where she remains in an induced coma due to swelling of the brain. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, as her situation remains very critical at this time. There is a CaringBridge page setup for her if you would like to follow her progress- http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/natalielindberg. There is also an account being setup where you will be able to make a donation to help offset her medical expenses and I will post that information as soon as I have it available. Thank You.
