900 Side Tab B/S!!

Anybody have problems with side panels breaking where the top tab goes into the dash? I have broken both side panels and both tabs on the dash! I think this is ridiculous!!! now its a few hundred dollars just to get those replace! Screw it, im going with zip strips until something elses breaks on this sled! lol
What alternatives have people used to fix this problem (other than not break them in the first place ) any body else even have this problem? seems to me like a horrible design flaw on polaris' part. Newer Ski doo's and Cats all have a rubber strap and a hinge. WHAT WAS POLARIS THINKING!!

mine broke....i just use zip ties.

I was thinking about using those aftermarket hood tie downs mounted sideways for that top plastic tab that breaks. Just need to find a good way to attach it out of the way so my knees arn't hitting it.

Typical on the 900's just another thing to add to the list.

Most people pull out on them which is what breaks them.

same problem on the '07 and '08 dragon. Extremely cheesey.

I used hood straps on mine, put one on each side and made them symetrical. Looks factory.

You know mine have not broken yet but they keep coming off. I'm going to have to copy mules They should stay in there a little better with that.

Thanks everyone. Mule that looks like a great design, going to have to try my hand at rigging something up like that. Anybody else have other ways?

I have the same problem. I will have to see what I can whip up on the old water jet. No sense in buying new I always seem to end up smaking them up on something anyway.
