I have a friend that has a 1998 700 wedge that we put a 144 under with 8 tooth drivers. Our plan was to gear it down as far as possible like maybe 19/42 or 43 and get a good pull the rope and go setup for the clutch (springs/weights/helix) we also have a Team roller secondary that I dont know what helix to run in it and wanted to know what helix/spring would be a good setup? Any suggestions would be a ton of help. Thanks! Will be riding 10,000-12,000 ft snowy range Wyoming

I had a 97 rmk 700 didnt get over 10k much but rode a lot of 9k . My set up was 19-38 gears , 10-58 weights , dark blue & whit polaris spring in the drive and 48-36 helx in a polaris button secondary. Hope that helps .

8th will be -1 on top and +1 on the bottom so keep that in mind with whatever setup you decide on. I really like 18/41 in my 700-144. I am 220# plus gear so the gearing really helped. You can pull more helix with tall gearing. As for clutching, get that tach calibrated. I run a HSP 48/36S in a button with silver/blue in #3. Not sure what to run in the front for weight as I run 60G in my 700 @ 6-9K but I have always liked the almond/round spring. As for jetting, if it is otherwise a stocker jet it 2 sizes leaner than what Polaris says for your elevation, 38 pilots and 1371G needle in #2 and let her buck.

One minor adjustment now it is going to have a team roller secondary on it what would be a good helix for that? I have most of my setup figured out
19/41 gears
almond primary with 10-56's
team roller with helix and spring yet unknown

How does this setup sound so far? Am I heading in the right direction? Sled is completely stock other than a mountain head.
