I will be starting to let go of a few of our rentals on March 1st and the rest can be sold by the end of March. We are Rockin M Snowmobile Rentals, located in Alpine, Wyoming 36 miles south of Jackson Hole. I will consider delivering within a couple hundred miles of our area. I will also deliver sleds to the Jackson Hole Hillclimb.
I take alot of pride in keeping sleds in near perfect condition. Most of the trailering is in an enclosed trailer from our location to the trailhead, therefore the overall appearance is better than the average rental sled. The majority of the miles are trail miles between Alpine and the Box Y Lodge.
Last year I priced the sleds as listed below, based on mileage. Seemed to work well this way. We take a non-refundable $500 deposit per sled to hold them. Sleds must be paid in full by March 31st and picked up shortly after.
Prices based on sleds being in good mechanical and structural condition: No bent suspension parts, no cracks in windshield (small tab may be missing), no tears in seats, no cracks in hoods, straight tunnels.
What I would consider normal wear on sleds may include some of the following: light scratches in hood or nicks in decals, some scratches in windshield, possible nicks in skis, no more than a couple paddles missing from a track. I was not aware of any missing paddles last year. This is worse case, most sleds should only have some of the above. Most hifax will be close to needing replacement $40.
Any damage more severe than this, I would be willing to negotiate the price. Currently most of the 09's are under 1000 miles and I suspect they will end up between 1800-3500. The 08 550 trail tourings currently have 3000-3500 and should end up between 3500-4500. I have one 08 700 Dragon which was my personal sled last year. It had a turbo on it for 500 miles. No harm done. It is in excellent condition. It spent most of it's time in the garage until it was turned into a rental this year. It has over $500 in venting, front shocks were recharged and currently has about 900 miles on it right now. At this time no need for pictures of 09's for they look brand new. I will be happy to e-mail pictures at the time of interest. I will also update this site with pictures as March 1st gets closer.
