Is 09 mapping better or worse than my 08 M-1000 mapping ??

had one 08 last year and it ran alright, just needed to seal the exauhst and add a couple of flow rites to the air box. Our group has a total of 4 09 1000s this year. none run at low alitude (terrible mid range bog/ gurgle that never clears up if your holding it at 6-7000 rpm) Mine was by far the worst as this problem still happened at eveation, we ride at 6000 feet. I do hear the other sleds doing it as well sometimes just not as steady. I think if your riding at hight evevation 7000 and up the new maping works quite well

There is a " performance bulletin " from Cat that includes quite a few pieces and an ECU update . All at no charge . check with your dealer .

Was just takling to a buddy with an 08 1000 that just got the update. I seems to be working very well, at least at lower elevation dont know about alt yet. now if they would just get my 09 to run it would be great

I have a 08 sp M1000, live in AK, ride 0-4000ft. I havn't seen a notice in my mail yet, from Cat, to get this work done?

It will come. Mine just got here this week.
Do the update I burned mine down last week because of the old maping. It leans it out to much at 6000 and above elivation.

From what is posted elsewhere on here the new mapping is good.
Thinking to have mine done this week if everyone is having good luck with update
my sled definitely runs better with 09 update. glad i did it. not dialed yet, but a much better running sled than before. the 08 lean mid range bog is all but gone too. good stuff.
